About WikiDashCam
WikiDashCam is a catalog of car dash cams: single front cameras, front and rear pairs, units that also watch the cabin, mirror models that clip over the rear view mirror, and four-camera sets with a 360 degree view. Each entry shows what the seller wrote in the title, beside the latest price we read.
The title is the source
How many cameras a unit has, the resolution it prints, whether it is a mirror, whether it names Wi-Fi, GPS, a parking mode, night vision, a cabin camera or a cellular link: each of these is read from the title and from nothing else. A title that is silent on one leaves that field empty, and silence is never turned into a no. Where a title lists two resolutions, the higher one is read.
Dash cams only
Mounts, brackets, suction cups, adhesive pads, windshield stickers, hardwire kits, power cords, adapters, memory cards and spare parts are filtered out, as are car stereos and CarPlay screens that happen to mention a recorder, navigators, motorcycle units, baby cameras, backup cameras sold alone, and the surround view and blind spot systems made for buses and trucks. A dash cam that ships with a card or a hardwire kit stays, because the camera is the product.
Nothing was driven
Nobody here has mounted, wired or driven with any of these cameras, so there is no verdict on video quality at night, on a license plate in the dark, on heat in a parked car or on how an app behaves. A claim in a title is a claim and is worded that way. Where a camera may sit on a windshield, and whether a recording counts in a dispute, depends on local rules we do not interpret.
Every price is dated
Next to each amount sits the day and hour of the store reading it came from. Once a reading is too old to trust, the amount comes down instead of posing as current. Checkout shows the real figure, which can differ from ours.
Guides and Learn
Guides set cameras against each other on what listings print and what they cost, Learn pieces explain driver assistance and road safety using public agency and institute pages, and the front page says how large the catalog is.
